“Unobtainable Travel Option” marks one of my first explorations of artificial intelligence as a creative medium.
In this dreamlike short video, an AI model is allowed to hallucinate — tracing an impossible journey from the markets of East London to the alleys of Naples. The resulting imagery unfolds as a digital drift, where geography dissolves into imagination and the act of travel becomes a state of mind rather than a physical passage.
True to its title, "Unobtainable Travel Option" reflects on the paradox of movement within virtual space: an exploration of desire, distance, and the ways in which technology redefines our perception of place. Through its absurd and fluid visuals, the work blurs the boundaries between reality and abstraction, inviting viewers to wander through an algorithm’s dream of the world.
